More from sew night....

I took this quilt from about 3 years ago to quilt night because I am looking for fabric to match the pieces in this.  Everyone is going to look in their stash.  I am gong to do this same pattern but Lana has an accucut with the tumbler die on it so I will use that and cut them a little bigger.  I made this quilt just out of some scraps and although I thought the colors were great the girls said it was kind of "old ladyish."  Meaning it was more my style than theirs.  I had at  about the same time made a very pink girly girl quilt for my toddler granddaughter.  I pulled the quilts out to show her the pink one and she went right to this one and would not even look at the pink one.  Needless to say this is her quilt.  I had to go borrow it from her to take to sew night, with the promise to have it back before bed time.  Don't you love it when that happens.

Claudia made one of her granddaughters this dress like Jeri's from last time.  I love it in the pink lemonade line. Look at those gigantic buttons. To cute.

She also made this modern quilt.  She said you start with a block but not a pattern and just keep adding to it.  I think is is great.  She is appliqueing on the yellow flowers.

Another Claudia quilt made with charm packs.  I am liking this and thinking I should probably do one of these soon.

Another twister from Lavee.  Sorry for the blurr.

And another one from LaVee.  I think her favorite part is the back.

What grandma wouldn't?

She made this baby quilt.  The 3 D bow ties really make it stand out.  This reminds me.  There is  a whole box full of bow tie blocks from long ago and far away somewhere in my closet. Maybe it is time for them to see the light of day.

Jeri brought some of her new fabric to see if it I could use it with the fabric I  have.  What do you think?  The line is called Daydreams by Riley Blake.  I think for sure I need the one is the middle.
There is still more to come.  We enjoyed it so much because it had been so long since we had been to "sew night."

Yay!! Sew night again. It was good to get back to see what everyone was working on. So much fun stuff.

Remember this from last month?

Shannon has turned it into this. Is that cool or what? I wonder who thought up this pattern. I would like to understand how their mind works to come up with this. I am planning on doing one of these this summer.

Betty did this cute baby quilt and I am sorry for the blurr this is the only picture I could even put up.  My camera took the biggie and I am trying to get by with a borrowed one.  I can't seem to  stay steady it enough.

Another one of Betty's.

Helen tried to tell us she didn't have anything to show but this was discovered in her sewing  bag.

Have I mentioned before what an awesome town Panguitch is to live in?  If not "Panguitch is and Awesome place."   2 weeks after the Quilt Walk Festival, the fourth weekend of June,  we have a balloon festival.  We have as many balloons as the field they launch from can hold and for three mornings, in the best part of summer, our sky is filled with beautiful, cute, and clever balloons.  One night there is a glow all up and down main and center street.

Becky made this quilt to be raffled off during the balloon festival this year.  Each square is a T shirt from the  festival.  The one from this year is in the lower corner but it came out to blurry so I am giving you a close up of last years.

I have more to show you but have to stop now.  I will try to get the rest up tomorrow.

Second mini album

I had made a second one with the same paper as the last one posted on the 3rd. For some reason,  it looked crooked to me.  So looking throuh the supplies,  I found some K and Co. pieces I had been saving for a long time and used them.   The colors are not true on these.  They are a purple or violet, blue, green and pink. The spots that are showing up on the title do not look like that IRL.  It is drops of glimmer mist.

I like the way this little flower turned out.  I make the flowers about the same each time but they always turn out different.

I think these prima roses are really striking.

This is another of the envelope mini's from tracy's tutorial. Again there are 11 places on this to add pictures or journaling.

These are awesome cookies.

last pages.  the flowers are from punches.

frogs and round robins and more

I love the black and white with red quilt that Jill will be teaching at the festival this year.  When I contacted Jill about her classes she said, " I do not know what to say. I was president of the state guild 2008 and did festival in 2010. I have taught for 25 years and have been quilting for over 30.  My main goal in quilting is to help others have as much fun as I do."  I think if you saw her trunk show last year you would believe it.

What could be more fun than splashing frogs.  Jill is also teaching this quilt.

And another frog quilt.  This one and the rest are quilts she showed in her trunk show.

this is so awesome.  This is called a round robyn quilt.  Jill made the center, a friend made the border and another made the next border and so on until the quilt was finished.   How fun would that be?

I believe this was a quilt she was given by the Utah Quilt Quild.  It says "As ye sew, sew shall ye Rip."

the brights in this make it look like it is moving.

blue and aqua quilt, these are really popular colors right now, lauren is eyeing these colors for her college quilt.

What a fun patriotic quilt.

Jill is a great teacher.  If you remember this coral and yellow starburst quilt, she was the teacher.

Bright and fun.
