More Raising Kane

More from their Jelly Roll Race.

love these kinds of quilts.

This looks like an authentic Navajo rug.

I really like this one.

This is one I would like to do.  Is it stack and whack?

Raising Kane

We had one of the guilds from Kanab come to do a trunk show for our guild meeting last week.  The county Kanab is in is Kane County--hence the name Raising Kane.  Wonderful quilts.  They were showing them so fast and well I didn't get a ton of stories on them but I think you will enjoy the eye candy anyway.

This awesome quilt has a pattern on the back also.

I think the ladies said that they all did this pattern as a way of trying something different.
They did the Jelly Roll Race at their retreat a while back.

Show and tell from Bryce Canyon Quilters Guild Meeting.

After LaRetta finished showing all her fun and beautiful quilts, That Star one has stayed with me and I go back to look at it when I open the blog, we had show and tell.  Crystal wasn't here last month so she had lots of fun stuff to show. First a bag she made at winter retreat.

Nan sent this quilt to be auctioned off for the hospital fund.  The picture doesn't do it justice I love the colors and fabrics in this one.
Sandy said she liked the zig zag quilt that Crystal did so well, she made her own version of it.

Shauna finished this Christmas quilt, I love that it is so modern, and she also made the second one here from a panel she got in Alaska.

Sheri added a little improv to this one, can you see it.  I like the unexpectedness of it.

Pictures from last guild meeting

Our block of the month was the snowball and I have to say I love this block.  I like the way it makes the block seem finished.   look at this snowballs only quilt.  I am in awe.
Tonya said this one was quick but I fell in love with it.  I came right home and ordered me some of the table for two fabric and as soon as it gets here I am going to put one together.
Our Mystery Quilter this month is Lauretta.  Here she shows her quilt that won peoples choice at Quilt Walk two years ago.
She and Shannon made these from a pattern in a magazine.

This is a recent finish.  Love the quilt blocks on the side of the houses.

 Another recent finish.
She said she made this one just because she wanted to.  That is the great part about quilting.

She made this with Shannons help.  Oh my, it is soo adorable.   (gushing because it is really cute)
She said this would be hers as her house is decorated in Americana.
