Show and tell quild

Block made by Keela
Fun stuff.  I really like this blue quilt.  I want to do one like it in brown and turquoise.  I have quit adding stuff to my to do list on the side as it started to get way to long.

 This is Sandy's new quilt.

Iris made these next two.  I am not sure what I did to make the picture go sideways.

Kay decided to go pink which she says she never does.

Our Mystery Quilter this month is.....

Lillian.  Lillian only had quilt tops to show us because as soon as she gets a quilt done she gives it away.  Some one asked her how many grandchildren she had and I think she answered 27 and 12 great.  She also said she mostly uses fabric she has on hand.
Colorful baby quilt.  I love the plaid in it.

this is a smaller turning twenty.  Someone asked why they call it that.  I don't know do you?
One of our favorite red white and black.
this is one like Sandy showed a couple of months ago.
She started this one a few years ago at the Quilt Walk.  It was a class that Bonnie Miles taught.
this is going to a teenage granddaughter, I think she said.
My girls and I loved Lamb Chop.  Who wouldn't want this one.

We had such a great time at guild tonight.

Sheree, whose birthday it was and whose sister surprised her with a visit, taught us the stitch she uses to do some of her fantastic needle work.  I won't show you my sample but I will show you the things she brought to show what can be done with it.

then Marie taught us the cutest fabric flowers.  I had a hard time getting a good shot of them but here is one that she made to put on the aprons she made for the ladies in her church who help with funerals.
More pictures of guild to come.  I can't wait to show you our mystery quilter of the month.

We all liked the opportunity quilt so much--

Dianne made her version.  I am loving the fabric.  I wish you could really see the quilting on it also.  It is done in Paisley.

Run for Debbie
A teacher at our high school is battling cancer, this is a lady who has made a difference for many students over the years and is greatly appreciated.   Anyway on Saturday we had a 3 mile run for her.  There were between 300 and 500 runners plus all the volunteers who showed up.  Now to some of you this might not sound like a great turn out but there are only about 2500 people in our whole county so when you figure there were people there from almost all of southern Utah it was awesome.  After the run they had a firefighter challenge and a mini challenge for the kids and it was quite a morning for our little community.
Here is a picture of my daughter, her friend and my friend.
