I Love this quilt
another one for my list. I saw this over on a quilting life and I think I am in love. I really like most everything Sherri does.
Is that not beautiful? Sherri said the pattern is "Rosettes" by Joanna Figueroa.
It is sew night tonight so I should have some pictures for tomorrow, if I can retrieve them from the camera.
Enjoy!

I never did find the pictures I took at sew night.
I guess the camera ate them. I went over to Claudias today to take a picture of her pull toy baby quilt. Do you remember the little pull toys that were the little weiner dogs with a slinky in the middle? That is what is on her quilt. I think it is so cute.
While I was there she showed me the quilts she will be teaching at the winter quilt retreat at Ruby's this year. I had to snap a picture of them.
These are beautiful. I really wish I was going to be able to go to this retreat. The ladies that go always rave about it being so much fun.

On my way out she showed me A quilt made by Anita that she had just finished quilting.( It is always good to visit Claudia, she is an "extraordinary" person) Anita I love the colors. Great quilt. I hope you are feeling better.

Another Oldie
When my daughter came home from college she said it was cold and she needed her other quilt. She thinks this one is too old fashioned to be on top of her bed but she uses it to keep warm. This is the first quilt I actually finished when I Claudia started her shop and held classes. Up until that point I had only done a few baby quilts. I don't know why I don't have more finishes as it always feels so good.
Enjoy!

Today is the day.
Sorry for the red tape they were sealing the walk. |
Side view of the park. Each of the seven men who took part in the quilt walk have a bench with part of their history carved into it. |
Another view of the park. I can't wait for everyone to see it when they come for the Festival next year. |
This Medallion is everywhere. I love it. Does anyone have the pattern? |
Enjoy!

More great pictures from sew night. No the pictures are not great but the subject of them are.
Here is a quilt I am finally getting the binding on. It is from Quilt Walk Festival 2004. I can't remember the name and am hunting frantically for the pattern. Anyway almost a finish.
John 'ALee brought her blocks from her mystery BOM that she is working on.
They are really cute. I wish they showed up as good here as IRL. The first one is finished.
This one is a work in progress.
Next Wednesday is our guild meeting. I can't wait to see what everyone has been working on.
Enjoy!

More from sew night--
LaVee and Betty both had made baby girl quilts. This one of LaVee's Is a three D bowtie. Betty's is bright pinks
This quilt was made for the man who designed and built our quilt walk statue. Claudia was working on the binding tonight. By the way, the dedication of the Quilt Walk Park and statue will be this Saturday at 1 pm. You should see how great the place looks. Everything is in place and ready to go.
Helen was working on this applique block and brought everything she needed in this clever little bay she had made. OK three pictures in a row.
Here's the tree quilt Nan was working on last time.
Yes, there are still more pictures. I will put them up tomorrow.
Enjoy!

This is an oldie
I was helping my daughter get ready to take off for college the other day and her quilt was sitting out on the couch. I don't think I had ever taken a picture of it before so I layed it out and took a few shots. This is from one of Jonna Lee's patterns called PinkILicious. I had to modify the pattern a litttle. she uses it as the top to her bedspread and it looks so shabby chic. I made three of these.
The one I made for my other daughter Is in oranges pinks and greens. She picked out the fabric herself. Every piece of fabric has dots on it. It is not as crooked as it looks it is just the way it was kept sliding on the leather couch.

And I did catch up with Dianne. She finished the top and it turned out so cute. She finds out Tuesday if the next grand is a boy or a girl. If it is a girl she will have an excuse to make even more quilts. I guess we don't really need an excuse, do we?
Enjoy!

Ok I will try to get these pictures up.
Last Wednesday sew night. LaVee brought her granddaughter to show off the skirt she made her. I had seen her wear it to church and it looked really cute. Wednesday, she was not going to put it on so holding it up had to do. LaVee was crocheting necklaces for each of her granddaughters. Way cute the picture does not do it justice. She strung the beads on thread and used that as part of her crochet.
Shannon has done the applique block of the month patterns in wool. She makes two of each since she is cutting anyway. These are really cute.
Dianne is thinking she is going to get a boy with the next grandbaby. Here she is auditioning borders. I love those baseballs.
Here's a close up of the baseballs.
This was the other project she was working on. I think she may have it finished by now. I will try to catch up with her to get a picture before it goes to be quilted. She has really been on a roll since she moved into her new sewing room.
Jeri Lou makes the best aprons. She has found this new pattern and will use the rooster and ticking fabric. Her stuff always looks so good. She is one of those people that just has a touch for color and fabric. You know when she puts it together it looks good.
And I must have done more talking than sewing because I only got one of the two bom's I was working on done. This is the mystery block from the fat quarter shop.
Enjoy!
