Second mini album

I had made a second one with the same paper as the last one posted on the 3rd. For some reason,  it looked crooked to me.  So looking throuh the supplies,  I found some K and Co. pieces I had been saving for a long time and used them.   The colors are not true on these.  They are a purple or violet, blue, green and pink. The spots that are showing up on the title do not look like that IRL.  It is drops of glimmer mist.

I like the way this little flower turned out.  I make the flowers about the same each time but they always turn out different.

I think these prima roses are really striking.

This is another of the envelope mini's from tracy's tutorial. Again there are 11 places on this to add pictures or journaling.

These are awesome cookies.

last pages.  the flowers are from punches.

frogs and round robins and more

I love the black and white with red quilt that Jill will be teaching at the festival this year.  When I contacted Jill about her classes she said, " I do not know what to say. I was president of the state guild 2008 and did festival in 2010. I have taught for 25 years and have been quilting for over 30.  My main goal in quilting is to help others have as much fun as I do."  I think if you saw her trunk show last year you would believe it.

What could be more fun than splashing frogs.  Jill is also teaching this quilt.

And another frog quilt.  This one and the rest are quilts she showed in her trunk show.

this is so awesome.  This is called a round robyn quilt.  Jill made the center, a friend made the border and another made the next border and so on until the quilt was finished.   How fun would that be?

I believe this was a quilt she was given by the Utah Quilt Quild.  It says "As ye sew, sew shall ye Rip."

the brights in this make it look like it is moving.

blue and aqua quilt, these are really popular colors right now, lauren is eyeing these colors for her college quilt.

What a fun patriotic quilt.

Jill is a great teacher.  If you remember this coral and yellow starburst quilt, she was the teacher.

Bright and fun.

Mini album

This mini album is for a dear friend who lost her mom last year.  This mom was a second mom to me and it was healing to me to be able to work on these albums. I have another one I will post tomorrow for her sister.    I have put two pictures of the front of the album, I am wondering about it, do you think the butterfly is to big?

This is the inside of the front cover.  the tag is removable.

Trying to make it close better,  I made most of the flowers pretty flat.

this next page has an envelope mini ablum on it.  there are 11 pages on it for pictures, journaling or in this case I put in a favorite recipe.  I learned how to do this from a tutorial by tracy of tracy's treasures. Check it out.  Tracy's tutorial  I did not use envelopes but just cut the cardstock to the size of the envelopes.

Each of these next pages have places to slide in the pictures.  I guess you can see the tags sticking up above the top of the pages.  I did not make each page have a top pocket.  There are I think five pockets.

This is the back page.  the circle in removable.

I am not kidding!

Isn't this a great basket quilt?  Somehow when I showed Joyce's quilts for the festival this year this one didn't show up.  She will be teaching this one Thursday June 9th in the evening.  I have tons of fabric that would make darling baskets. Of course I still have not signed up for my classes because I can't make up my mind.  Everytime I post I think I want to do every quilt.  I hope you are enjoying the quilts
