It's Up...The Quilt Walk Festival Classes are up.

I talked to Suzanne tonight and the classes are posted.  Registration won't be open until Friday, February 1st,  so when you see the message at the top of the page that says registration is closed it really means it is not open yet.  The link is right there on the right hand side of the blog, or here, go to the quilting classes on the top of the page to see the classes with samples of the quilts.  I love to look but hate to have to narrow it down to only the few classes I can take.
Picture here is from a class Nanette of Freda's Hive taught a couple of years ago at the festival.

For those of you that are new to the Quilt Walk here is the video our travel council made about it.  If you don't know the Quilt Walk Festival is big stuff in our little town.   Quilt Walk Story

My across the street neighbor, Louise, makes so many beautiful quilts

She usually gives them away.  This one she made just for her.  She brought it over to show me as soon as she got it back from the quilter.

We had a mystery quilter at guild

Her history was read and we had to guess who it was.  Here are a few of her first quilts.
This one is really in browns , not sure why it looks green.
This blue and white quilt she said she took an all night class and they said she could finish the quilt during that class.  She was there all night but said no way did she finish the quilt.

More from guild

One of the ladies got up to show her quilt and said she had been working on it for ten years.  I have some of those but they are not nearly as impressive as this one.

A block from the class Claudia is teaching at the winter retreat.

Pat said she got the bug to quilt after her children and families left after Christmas and this is what she came up with.  Fabulous.
