Bryce Country Quilters Show and tell.

Katherine was the mystery quilter for this month.  She had tons of quilts to show and moved so fast my old camera couldn't get a clear picture.  I guess when she was chosen she said she didn't have any thing to show.  This is a picture of her with the stack of quilts she had gathered up to show.

Lorna finished her jelly roll quilt.

This Quilt is in 3D.

The flowers are dimensional.

Crystal took this class from Kim I think in Cedar and it is a sensational quilt.  Kim is teaching this class at Quilt Walk

Crystal also got her pineapple quilt back from the quilter, stunning both the quilt and the quilting.

Keela made this quilt from a pattern from one of Emma Smiths quilts.

cute baby quilt by sandy.

 What a fun christmas quilt.

Another jelly roll finish I like the colors on this one.

This is Tonya's "over the river and through the woods" there is lots of hand work on this.

Shauna Made this one to remind her of the ocean.
Gwen's cute snowman quilt, maybe we will get some snow soon, we really need it.
This pumpkin wall hanging and the abstract one next to it are two classes that are being taught at Quilt Walk this year.

I hope you enjoyed show and tell at our quilt guild.

I have had many people ask me about the Fractured Flowers Quilt

Claudia made this for a class she taught last year at winter retreat at Bryce Canyon.
Crystal took the class and showed us her quilt last month at guild.
Crystal sent me a copy of the pattern front for all of you who wanted it.  I can't seem to get the image to upload but I found the pattern Here

This looks like many days and nights work.  Good luck to all you who are going to take this one.  It is beautiful.

YAY!!! the classes for Quilt Walk 2014 are up

http://www.quiltwalk.org/  Now to decide what class to take.  Decisions are always the hardest part.  And another yay!! it is guild night and I get to go.  I should have more pictures up soon.

9:00  Just got home from quilt guild and it was a good time.  The theme tonight was pinwheels.  Gwen show us some pinwheel quilts she had done.

I love this one made with an irish chain.
Then Keela and Crystal had been making blocks from Jenny's disappearing pinwheel block
They had been having so much fun they couldn't wait to share it with us.  This same pinwheel will also make a churn dash or monkey wrench with a pinwheel in the center.

Our project for this month is to do a pinwheel project or begin a quilt for the year.  Click on the links to watch the Missouri quilt company's tutorials on how to make these.

Every quilt I made in 2013 was from Jenny's tutorials

I love the colors in this one.  I used the small half hexie ruler and a one jelly roll.

Yes I do know how to iron, but you would't know it to see this would you?  Irish chain

This one is totally from scraps. Pattern is called a Walk in the Park.

Can you tell I ordered quite a bit of the Lilly Ashbury "gypsy girl" fabric.

Jenny's tutorials, which ones are your favorites?

I just went to the Quilt Walk Site hoping the classes were up.

It says they will be up on the 15th, so if you happen to click on the classes that are there they are for last years festival.

Quilt Walk Festival will be on June 11, 12, 13 and 14th of this year.  There will be quilt classes galore, (I have been wanting to use that word.)a quilt show, trunk shows, pioneer crafts for the kids, a tractor parade, quilt walk race, a play depicting the quilt walk and even more.  Panguitch is a great place to be.  This is the quilt that won people's choice last year and so is our logo for 2014.

I thought I would start today with a review of some of my favorite quilts from 2013

This is some of sheree's hand work and it makes me smile every time I see it.

I bet you know where this is going.....I am having a hard time deciding.   So here are a  few of the ones I am putting on my to do list.

I have had a pineapple quilt on my to do list since seeing Karen Hellerby at market a few years ago.  Red, white and blue are also on my list.

This is Melissa Corry'sa pattern braided Irish Chain.  I love the colors Becky choose.  So it is on my list as well.

My daughters and I each have a jelly roll we have ready to do this 1600 quilt with we just need to find a weekend when we can all get together without anything else to do.

I love the look of this and have been wanting to do those pin wheels for a long time.  This is the year.
I have a few more to add to the list but found this as I was looking through old post and still have to say I hate to cut into new fabric, especially a collection.
