Yay! I finally got back to sew night.

Last time Jeri was making an awesome crib sheet for a new grandson.  I am loving the Chevron stripe.

Shannon was making a rug.

Shannon was making a rug.

You know I love Sunbonnet Sue.  Cute baby quilt

You know I love Sunbonnet Sue.  Cute baby quilt.

Now on to tonight.  I love Shannon's log cabin with the panel in the center.  This fabric  looks bright and  fun.

Lana has been working on the Apple Core quilt with civil war fabric   She said it still needs 8 more rows.  That will be a nice size quilt.

Helen has been making doll quilts.  They just need the binding.

Delora's granddaughter picked out this fabric it really came together in a fun way.

Helen has been making bags like this one.

Shannon is making her mom a quilt with this fabric.

Angela made this quilt out of scraps from the one she made last year.  Dang  it is cute.

This is her quilt from the festival this year.

Karen didn't bring a project but was sharing produce from her garden.  These are called Greek beans and they were pretty tasty just snapped and eaten.

Loretta found this piece of fabric that turned into a darling baby quilt.
I am glad to be back.  I heard there will be an awesome trunk show at quild next month.  I can't wait.

We had sew night again,

Look at Angela's Thanksgiving quilt. What a fun quilt. The turkeys have loose legs and there are other 3D elements.  I have not seen this pattern before.  She said she bought the kit with the pattern but she had enough in scraps to cut out a second smaller quilt.  Good deal.
Jerilu is so awesome.  Remember last week she was cutting out the squares for this quilt.  It is done.  This quilt is an advent calendar. She said it was so much fun to do.  It is certainly fun to look at.

Helen made this cute hat for a grandbaby.  She is such a good sport she even modeled it.

Loretta made this almost all from scralps.  It was a class at Quilt Walk.  She used her embroiderer machine for the flowers.

She also made these baby boots and shoes.

More projects from her embroidery machine.  .
Mary Lou put this quilt together from blocks Helen gave her for her birthday.

Here is another view of Jerilu's advent calendar quilt.

We don't usually meet the 3rd Wednesday but with Thanksgiving next week we decided to meet.  I was not able to stay and sew, because I had another meeting,  but could not resist going to take some pictures.

Sew night but I think we are all worn out.

We mostly sat around and visited.  I worked on  binding Laurens quilt.  Remember the one made out of sugar and spice fabric.  I will post it when the binding is finished.

LaVee, Claudia and Helen were crocheting hats.

Judy brought the fabric for advice on her next quilt.

Claudia brought these awesome ribbon embroidered   pillow cases that Sheri had done.

Helen and Claudia brought a great pattern they found at Lazy May that would be so fun for a wedding gift.

Other than that we sat and talked about sewing and many things.  We agreed that it had refreshed us to be there.

Yay! Sew Night, new projects and a sneak peek

Remember I told you about our guild doing black and white blocks with a crayon color drawn at each guild meeting.  Here are Shannons blocks.  She is doing two of each.

These are Claudias' blocks.  She is adding the black and white extra to each block, I think she called it a BQ pattern.  It is really striking.  Shes
making two of each block also.  Of course yours truely only has her crayon colors drawn.  That is it.  No fabric, nothing cut nothing.  No excuses.

Here is Marylous' flimsy

from  the tube piecing she had last week.  It turned out great didn't it?

Marylou taught some of the ladies how to do the tube piecing blocks.  These are the ones LaVee put together.

Prepare to be amazed!!!!!

Are these not the greatest little blocks.  Just so you know they are a sneak peak for the quilt walk.  Most of us worked on these last night.  I love working with friends.

Remember this project from last sew night?  Well here it is cut apart and put back together.

Look at these bocks claudia made from her class in Brigham City. Are these fun blocks.
We are going to meet again next week to work on the quilt.

Last Wednesday was sew night.

In stead of sewing some of us began making a book like those Holly makes.  Holly did all the work of cutting and putting the kits together.  It was great fun but of course our books are not done.  One more night should do it.  I hope.  She sews on her pages and it makes them look so finished.  I am not sure mine are going to look that good.  I will try to show you the great kits she put together and all of us working so hard as soon as my camera shows back up.  Dianne who is expecting a new grand baby is making the cutest baby book.  Holly really was able to make kits for each of us that fit our personalities. She is going to be teaching the class at the quilt walk this year.  I am thinking of making one to keep pictures of my quilts in. It may take me a couple of years though to fill it up.
We have sew night again tomorrow because guild meeting was changed to the 27th.  MaryLou is going to show us how to do rope baskets.  It should be fun.

As I said before "I love Sew Night"

We had our sew night last night.  Dianne said she heard that socializing was better for your health than either healthy eating or exercising.  So we are doing this for our health.

I had to give you all another look at Nan's pretty little machine.
Claudia had brought these books, wow they were filled with things for the to do list.  I spent the night looking at these instead of binding my quilt.  You know I love binding.

Claudia and Diane are working on the same Civil war BOM.  It is going be a beautiful quilt.

LaVee is making her grandaughter a skirt.  I can't wait to see it finished.

I will add more tomorrow.  Enjoy
