Yay another sew night

Karen has made aprons for all the girls in her family.

All the little girls in LaVees family are getting these sooo cute P.J.s.  The blue is really pretty, it is getting harder and harder to find trico for these projects anymore.

 She also crocheted this bracelet.

And sewed on the binding for this quilt.  Busy girl.

Helen is making this stocking cap for a grandbaby.

These are so cute they are part of a set of six that Donna is doing. 

Becky is making a black and orange quilt for a friend who is a big fan of Oregon State.  (I hope I got the right Oregon College with the black and orange)

Jerilu cut out fabric for this advent quilt.  The pattern looks hard but she said it is fairly easy.  It almost made me want to try it.  Since I have the fatquarter shoppe christmas BOM from last year only barely started, I am going to hold myself back.

Marylou is doing another tube quilt.  I really like how fresh blue and yellow are together.

this is so cute but sorry I can't remember what craft she said this is.  She can do almost anything. 

Lana had found this quilted  apron to show us. 

It was a good night to get out and visit. 

Yea! Sew night and a Sneak Peek at a Quilt Walk Festival Class.

Claudia made this Apron.  Is that Pocket too cute. She said she has 6 more to make.

Carolyn brought this Afghann to work on.  Crocheting is really coming back.  I loved doing these in the 70's and now they are cool again.  I hesitate because you know my record for finishes.  They would be out of style and maybe back in before I got them done. 

Wendy brought this hexagon guilt her mother had made because there was no binding on the quilt.  I think they are still talking about the kind of binding it needs.  Isn't it beautiful.  Those colors make a feast for my eyes.  Love lots of color.

Claudia and Nan went to Brigham City to take some classes from the Nickle quilt lady. (sorry I can't remember her name.) Nickle quilts because she uses 5" squares for each block.   Claudia taught us some of the techniques they learned and will be showing us more the next time we meet.   She also showed us a trick with using "cheap" shelf liner, just a small piece, under the rulers when we cut with the rotary cutters so the rulers don't slip. She said use cheap because the good stuff is thicker and holds the rulers to high off the fabric.

Shannon brought this cute fabric to show us.  I think she is still working on building her stash but I can't wait to see what she does with this.

Debbie said she is going to get her advent calendars ready for next year so she is starting early...no not late.

This is the background.  The colors are so pretty in this and she will attach the pieces with buttons.  

Here are the pieces she will attach to the panel.  She has three in the works but with grandkids who knows she may need more by next year.

Jerilu brought this bag to show us.  It is to carry and protect the fiberglass top we use attach to  our sewing machines to make the sewing area bigger.  I know she had a name for it.  I hope you know what I mean.

I had people ask me about the pattern for Dianne's quilt from the post last week.  Here is the pattern company for it.

Kenda has started one of the wall hangings like Shannons.  It is going to be beautiful.

Ok all, this is the sneak peak.  This is a sample of the class Claudia will be teaching at the Quilt Walk Festival. 

Look how gorgeous that star is.  Classes will be up the first of February.  Keep you eyes open for it.

I love how the nine patch fits into the star within a star.

Sew night

Oh my goodness, I think this is so cute.  Dianne has a granddaughter with a birthday coming up and this is for her.

 Jeri got new fabric in the store so she began making aprons.  Are these too cute.  I think she said the fabric on the left is called "quite contrary."  Who comes up with such clever names.  This next one is for her grandson.

Becky is making this for the shop I wish the colors would show up better because this is really a beautiful flimsy.  Especially those red poppies in the center.  I guess I am still a little cowboy at heart because this fabric speaks to me.

Some of us worked on our books that Holly is helping us with.  Everyone got quite a bit done.  Not me, I was still playing around with patterns when everyone else had sewen and glued theirs.

I can't wait to show you some of them when they are done they are really works of art.  Holly had the book she is offering as a class at the Quilt Walk there tonight.  Oh my, it is stunning.  I don't have pictures of it yet but will post when I do. 

Here is another one of Becky's quilts.  I am not sure why it ended up on the bottom.  She is making this one for a granddaughter.  She didn't stay to sew  but came by so we could see what she had been working on.  Her husband has built her a new sewing room and she has put it to good use. Her granddaughter is in our high school play of Cinderella tonight. 

I know I have not shown show and tell from quild but I promise I will do it.  Next week is quild and we are having pot luck (what am I going to take?) and are supposed to bring the ufo we promised to finish last January.  I got mine finished but I have shown it so many times I need to come up with something else to show.
