The story of the quilt walk

July sure did fly by... I have some new mini's to share.

the bad news is I have yet to find my 4 GB card for the camera.  Dang they are small.
I don't have a sewing room and with all the comings and goings of people the last few weeks the sewing machine has been in hibernation.  I do, however, have a friend who comes for the summer.  We usually get together for a few days and make cards.  This year since she missed quilt walk and was unable to take Holly's mini album class, she wanted to make a mini.   here is what I made.

I had been looking at some mini albums on you tube and it made me want to try some new things.

You can't see it very well but the flower on the left is one of the fabric flowers you hold over a flame to melt into curves.

I got this idea from Laura at following the Paper trail .

this envelope holds 4 tags or space for 8 pictures or pictures and journaling.  I really like this paper.  It was some I had had for years and I had thought about purging it but I am glad I didn't.

Please forgive me for not updating.

Some where in the house is a card with all my pictures on it.  I know it can't be far.

More eye candy...

 market pictures.  Pie plate patterns
Pie Plate Patterns the coral on was taught at quilt walk.   Love the red and pink.

I am usually one for color but I think this is one of my favorite quilts at market.  I can't even figure out why.  Just do.

Sew night---Hats, and chickens and blocks and more

Where did my post and all my pictures go?  It just disappeared.

I think that I forgot to show you this cute booth at market.

Sweet Ruby had some way cute quilts and even though they had a small booth it was stuffed with great quilts.  Maybe it was a regular sized booth but was so stuffed it looked smaller.  Anyway here you go.

this a great little boy quilt.

some of the strips in this are gathered.

I think this is so cute.  the quilting was awesome too.
Speaking of textures the solid pieces you can see here are made with the new ruffly fabric.  What little one wouldn't want to run their hands over this again and again.  It is the kind of thing that would put you right to sleep.

Love this one made out of the sugar and spice fabric.

I think this booth was put together by three sisters.

Look at this fabulous quilt.

I saw it on Two Peas in a Bucket and asked Virginia if I could show it here.   I am loving her fabric. This is a free pattern called New Wave from Elizabeth Hartman on the oh frannson blog.

I am going to be looking for some fabric similar to this.  Very fun.  I would love to see your pictures if you have made up this pattern.

I need some help--having a mental freeze

the first quilt from July 6th post?  Does any one know what pattern this is?

Second picture is the tube quilt I have been working on.  I am stumped as to what to do for the borders.  I would take any suggestions.  Thanks

More Eye Candy, this time from market

I know it has been a while since market but I have some great pictures that I have not seen anywhere else yet so.  I hope you enjoy these.  It has been so long I may not remember the booths.  I tried to take a picture of the booth name when I took the pictures but forgive me if I missed it.

Storm at sea, I really like how the colors flow  on this.

Amazing what you can do with the new cutters.

You know I have a soft spot for sunbonnet sue so when I saw this international one I had to have a picture.

This was a really cute booth.

fun quilts.
I love the background with this scene quilt.

I love this quilt, I saw it in a magazine somewhere.

Love the background on this too.

The first applique I ever did was from this designer.  It was called homecoming hearts.  Love this.

More Eye Candy from Quilt Walk

Does anyone know what pattern this is?  the more I look at it the more I think this ones is going on my list.

One of Betty's beautiful quilts.  I love that she uses bright colors.

I like the feelings of this quilt.  I wonder what the name is?

Dana at her booth.

this booth was so cute and I am drawing a blank on the name.

I have shown this before as it was done by one of the teachers at QW but to see it in person was incredible.

I don't remember the name of this booth either but I know the shop is in Hurricane and the lady was so nice.  See the quilt on the right.  It is for sure going on my list.  I can't believe I didn't get a better picture of it.  The center is a panel but the border just makes the whole thing.  It is snowballs in different sizes.

what a cute baby quilt.

Jeri's booth was awesome.  I think all the vendors did a good job.

Jerilu and Mavis.  You will see lots of both of them next year.

Helpers at entrance to the quilt show.

Our display of the Quilt Walk Quilt for this year.  I hope the lady that won it was excited.  She wasn't there the day of the drawing.
