The story of the quilt walk

Oh, I found more great pictures from our show and tell

Nan made both of these.  They look like so much fun to make.

Kay and Mary-Miller each made one of these.  They only worked on them together. They turned out great.  The picture of the other one failed.  I don't know why but it said security alert.  Must have been a powerful picture.  Anyway I think this is a great quilt.  Almost like it tells a story.

Mary-Millers rooster.

Helen has been busy making aprons this year.

Look at this adorable snowman quilt she made.  I think I need one of these.  I would put minki on the back.

This is one of the patterns Marylou made for Christmas.

Another one.  Oops looks like it is upside down.

And a third one.

More tomorrow.  Enjoy!

More from show and tell. WoW!

Love it!

This is a great sampler.  Sorry I wasn't back far enough to get the whole thing.

There were several of these.  Shawna said this was a bugger it would not lay flat.

Becky brought this for someone else.  The fabric is western.

Nan said yes this was a bugger.  I can't help it though I love the lonestar.

Nan's presents quilt made with Kate Spain Christmas fabric.

Janine hand quilted this.

All 50 states  flowers are embordered here.  She said it was just like one her grandmother had made for her wedding.
I am not going to put more names with the quilts because I am finding that my memory is not to sharp today.  Enjoy anyway.

No longer UFO's, Finishes

I think this is Keela's UFO.  I am sorry ladies I was sure I would remember each one of these and who's they were.  Now I am looking at them and wondering what was I thinking.  I guess I didn't want to miss anything so didn't write it down as they were shown.  Please forgive me and correct me if I mess up.

These flowers are wool on a flannel back.

What a cute purse

Wool again.  I wish I had gotten the whole thing.

I think this is Gwen's UFO.

More of Gwen's work. The next one also.

Very fun quilt.

Claudia taught this class at guild a while back.

I will post more tomorrow.   Enjoy!

We had our guild meeting tonight... It was a pot luck party

if there is one thing that quilters know how to do besides quilt it's cook.  We all enjoyed a feast.  I want to get my hands on a whole bunch of recipes.  We all had contracted to finish a UFO in January of last year.  Tonight was the night to show and tell.  So there were many UFO that are now finished.

I have tons of pictures, tonight I am only going to show the quilts that were used for decoration.  I will show the others during the rest of the week.  The tables were decorated with Jim Shore Nativity sets and angels it was all very festive.  I didn't even take pictures of the tables I was so involved with the quilts.

I forgot this was on here look at this great quilt bag.  Mary had it full tonight.

Love the wonky trees.

I thought these ginger bread boys were so cute.

Here we go.  Enjoy!

I have a new quilt that is going on my list.

I saw Kim's new quilt here and it is something I really want to do.  The problem is, I am looking at so many quilts on the net,  drooling over so much fabric and now I am looking at paper and hoping to make Christmas cards and mini albums.  My sewing has come to a halt but my list just keeps getting longer.

I promised you pictures of the bowls the ladies made a few weeks ago and here they are.  Shannon made two.

Enjoy!

Sew night

Oh my goodness, I think this is so cute.  Dianne has a granddaughter with a birthday coming up and this is for her.

Jeri got new fabric in the store so she began making aprons.  Are these too cute.  I think she said the fabric on the left is called "quite contrary."  Who comes up with such clever names.  This next one is for her grandson.

Becky is making this for the shop I wish the colors would show up better because this is really a beautiful flimsy.  Especially those red poppies in the center.  I guess I am still a little cowboy at heart because this fabric speaks to me.

Some of us worked on our books that Holly is helping us with.  Everyone got quite a bit done.  Not me, I was still playing around with patterns when everyone else had sewen and glued theirs.

I can't wait to show you some of them when they are done they are really works of art.  Holly had the book she is offering as a class at the Quilt Walk there tonight.  Oh my, it is stunning.  I don't have pictures of it yet but will post when I do.
Here is another one of Becky's quilts.  I am not sure why it ended up on the bottom.  She is making this one for a granddaughter.  She didn't stay to sew  but came by so we could see what she had been working on.  Her husband has built her a new sewing room and she has put it to good use. Her granddaughter is in our high school play of Cinderella tonight.

I know I have not shown show and tell from quild but I promise I will do it.  Next week is quild and we are having pot luck (what am I going to take?) and are supposed to bring the ufo we promised to finish last January.  I got mine finished but I have shown it so many times I need to come up with something else to show.

Enjoy!
